Subject: PERFECT!!!
This is so deliciously bad it's good. Completely bad dialog with over the top voice dubbing from mexican actors trying to sound english. Splendid! The film is shot like a cheap comic book. The extras included are great!! If you like hokey sci fi you'll love this!!! *****

Subject: Actually, 2nd of five...
Gotta dig the luche libre! Bill's got it half-right: there were five Neutron movies, with the first being compiled from a serial of the same name. Three of the five got translated into English and released in the US, this being the first and, by all accounts, the best. I haven't seen "Neutron Battles the Karate Assassins," but
"Neutron vs. the Maniac" was pretty tame compared to this one.
I've heard all the El Santo movies have had their copyrights restored. Are you sure this one is PD?

Subject: Great Stuff!
The movie here is Neutron the Atomic Superman vs. the Death Robots (1962) (IMDb). It's the second of three Neutron movies in this series. In it, the masked Mexican wrestler Neutron (Wolf Ruvinskis) fights the forces of his arch-villain Dr. Caronte (Julio Alemán) who wants to make and use the "neutron bomb" Neutron stopped him from making before.

This is jam-packed with general silliness, goofy costumes, wild, nutty dialog, and crazy action. I loved it. As it happens, I recently watched a half-dozen Santo movies, and loved them, too. Santo is more of a wrestler than Neutron, who primarily uses his fists in fights. This could easily have been a Santo movie, though. In fact it's similar to Samson vs. the Vampire Women in some respects.

My favorite line, uttered by the police chief, "I don't think." Neither did the makers of this film, and I'm glad of it.

I downloaded the 900MB AVI file. It's a black and white movie. Video and audio quality were fine.
